ZeBedee Books - carefully chosen by the Bedees for your reading. Out of print items, new & used books, “2nds” of SWR teaching items, and some new selections are promoted here.

The World of Language series by Ruth Heller is where ZeBedee Books began in 2023, with out-of-print jewels for the 8 parts of English grammar: nouns (& collective nouns), pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, & interjections, . Check carefully; you might find a full set of eight! Please know that the collections here are eclectic; since the books were printed at different times, cover illustrations & sizes might not match. There are both hardcover & softcover used editions.

Old items, or used books of high quality that may be out of print, can provide supplements for your spelling teaching such as Robert Louis Stevenson’s A Child’s Garden of Verses. New items include tales of difficult situations (with solid suggestions and glory to God) from people we know and can vouch for, plus vetted young adult novels with fantasy base and more.

A new idea in 2025 - “2nds Slightly Smudged SWR Sets.” One of our Teacher Helper services is adding red marks to SWR rule cards. Sometimes the red pen slips a bit. If it can’t be repaired, the cards are still in great shape but aren’t up to our high standards. So we give a slight discount and post them here for you to save a little if you don’t mind a red mark being in the wrong spot!
