TEXAS SWR Basic seminar! Study Spell to Write and Read curriculum IN PERSON in Fort Worth, Texas, on June 10-11 Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00-4:30 CENTRAL TIME. This 2-day course is presented by endorsed trainer Julie Wagenmaker at Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 10750 Westpoint Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76108 (map).
BASIC SWR phonics and spelling curriculum training provides an overview of the program with emphasis on how to use the materials and how they work together for a variety of ages. Julie walks through each level's first few weeks, dictating words from pertinent spelling lists and dictating applicable reference pages as she goes. Reference pages include all or most of these: Consonants & Vowels, Multi-letter phonograms, AEIOU, Silent final e, e's dropping, 1-1-1, y's exchanging, plurals, -ed past tense ending, /er/ page, ei/ie rule.
Registration is $150 for first timers (25% discount for alumni repeating SWR Basic Seminar).
How to prepare:
familiarize yourself as much as possible with all 70 phonograms;
read the Introduction and Appendix A of the Spell to Write and Read red book, pages 7-11 & 189-195.

Spelling Log (Red K-2nd or Black Log 3rd grade & up)
paper for note taking
Red pencils are provided for your use during class.
